About

Specialist physician (Fachärztin) in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, with further certification in Diabetology from the German Diabetes Society (DDG) and in Hypertensiology from the German Hypertension League (DHL). She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree in 1995 from Comenius University in Bratislava, studying at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine in Martin, Slovakia, after completing her secondary education at the Gymnasium in Topoľčany in 1989.

Dr. Linkesch has more than three decades of clinical and academic experience across leading university hospitals in Slovakia, Germany, and Switzerland. She began her career in 1995 with doctoral research and a residency in the Metabolic Unit of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University Hospital in Martin (under Prof. M. Mokáň). She then moved to Germany, where she spent six years in research and clinical practice at the Department of Metabolic Diseases and Nutrition at University Hospital Düsseldorf (Prof. M. Berger), followed by four years as a resident in its Department of Nephrology (Prof. B. Grabensee).

She advanced to senior physician (Oberärztin) roles in diabetology and nephrology, first at the Medical Polyclinic of University Hospital Bonn (Prof. H. Vetter) and then in the Department of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the Malteser Hospital Bonn (Prof. M. Göke). From 2012 to 2017 she served as Chief Physician (Chefärztin) of the Department of Internal Medicine and Nephrology at the Kurpark-Klinik in Bad Nauheim.

Since 2017 she has been Lead Physician at the Dialysis and Nephrology Centre in Urdorf (B. Braun Medical Care AG), additionally taking on the role of Medical Director at the Zürich Oerlikon site from 2018. In February 2026 she established her own independent medical practice.
